To hunt, trade, gather

Canoes were quite strong, and although susceptible to damage from rocks, could carry large loads in very shallow water. They were used to hunt, trade and gather.

Each pine bookmark I stained and a leather string and wood beads have been added. Each design is cut onto walnut veneer and glued to the pine bookmark. I also designed and made each bookmark holder. Size of pine bookmark: 4.7" x 1.3"
